Fact Sheet
About the Company
Palamida was founded in 2004 to develop products and services for a new software category - Software Composition Analysis. Specifically, Palamida products and services enable stakeholders from development, legal and security to collaborate to maximize development productivity thru widespread use of open source and other third party software while minimizing the risk of IP infringement and security vulnerabilities. The company is located in San Francisco, and is privately held.
Products and Services
Palamida Enterprise Edition - Enterprise Edition is based on patented search and filtering technology and designed specifically to address the challenge of identifying complete or partial matches between a target software project and known open source and other third party software. Once the identification of externally sourced software has been made, Enterprise Edition acts as a single system of record for software content, policy, vulnerability alerts and action items such as remediation. In addition, Enterprise Edition includes a workflow component to allow organizations to put in place an approval process for use of third party components so that expensive after-the-fact discovery is minimized. Palamida Enterprise Edition is licensed on a yearly subscription basis.
Palamida Compliance Edition - Compliance Edition contains all of the detection and reporting features of Enterprise Edition, but omits the approval process workflow. It is designed for those organizations that prefer to use their own approval workflow system, or who are focused exclusively on audit of existing software.
Palamida Professional Services - For software merger and acquisition diligence, or for other high priority internal projects, Palamida PS delivers accurate, fully documented reports quickly and with results tailored to the specifics of the engagement. With hundreds of audit engagements completed accurately and securely, Palamida PS is a trusted partner with deep domain expertise and best practice knowledge in software content detection and reporting.
